The Role

We’re seeking a People & Culture Generalist to join us for a unique opportunity to help build a modern and progressive HR function alongside the Chief People Officer as we grow our company beyond 100 employees here at Leonardo.Ai

This role is perfect for someone who is a true builder. You’ll love taking projects from idea through to completion and collaborating across the entire company to build memorable experiences that shape company culture globally. 

In the long term, this role has the potential to evolve into a more specialised role as we grow the team based on our organisational design and your own strengths. 

Success Looks Like

  • Creating a suite of hands-on tools for our employees and managers to get the right information at the right time, aligned with our values and culture

  • Owning a broad range of HR projects that establish the People & Culture function

What you’ll do

  • Support the Chief People Officer across the entire people lifecycle to establish the core employee experience and people operations that will allow us to scale efficiently

  • Own the onboarding and offboarding process in close collaboration with Finance and IT

  • Drive projects to completion, such as employee engagement, L&D, diversity and inclusion

  • Develop and implement inclusive HR policies and programs that align with our company values and legal requirements

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to team leaders and employees on a wide range of HR topics, including performance management, employee relations, and talent development

  • Support the execution of company-wide initiatives such as workforce planning, compensation and benefits analysis, and organisational development

  • Leverage data to drive and influence evidence-based decisions and communicate insights on key metrics

Skills and knowledge we love

  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Experience in HR in a technology or startup environment, focusing on people operations and project work.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all company levels and across diverse groups.

  • Strong experience in using HR systems and analysing HR metrics.

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • A passion for using technology to help scale and automate HR processes.

  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
