About the Role
We are seeking an experienced People Programs Specialist to join our team and focus on content, writing and programming. You will be responsible for developing and supporting programs that enhance our People strategy goals.Â
In this position, you will be directly responsible for developing content for our programs, as well as executing internal communications for the organization. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders across the company, understanding organizational needs, and implementing initiatives that foster a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing culture at OpenAI.
You’ll have several areas of responsibilities, including:
Designing and implementing People program content aligned with organizational goals.
Creating learning and development materials for employee engagement and culture initiatives.
Managing internal communications for HR initiatives and organizational change.
Supporting employees during change with clear, consistent messaging.
Collaborating with HR and other teams to integrate People programs with strategic priorities.
Gathering feedback to continuously improve programs.
Supporting performance management processes for continuous feedback and development.
Leading DEI initiatives to promote an inclusive work environment.
Designing training programs for career growth and mentorship.
We’ll look for these qualities, experience, and skills:
5+ years of experience in program management, People operations, or Communications.
Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking.
Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication and project management abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Location and Workplace
This role is based in our New York City or Mission Bay, San Francisco office. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office with optional work from home on Thursdays and Fridays. We also offer relocation assistance to new employees.
