We need an upbeat and innovative Platform Engineer to join our technology team at Koddi. In this role you will collaborate with our software engineers, AI and ML scientists and other IT team members to ensure successful deployments and operation of services, design and implement our platform infrastructure, and play a major role in our continuous improvement. We are looking for a Platform Engineer who can merge the barriers surrounding our software development, our testing, and our operations teams.
What you will do
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure for our SaaS platformCollaborate with software engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of services Maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architectureImplement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-codeManage our continuous integration and delivery pipeline to maximize efficiencyIterate on best practices to increase the quality and velocity of deploymentsEnsure compliance with security best practices and industry standardsParticipate in 24/7 on-call rotations for mission-critical systemsIdentify infrastructure problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outagesSecure, scale, and manage Linux (and possibly Windows) environmentsContinuously evaluate existing systems against industry standards and make recommendations for improvementWork collaboratively with multiple agile teams to help deliver end-to-end products and features, seeing them through from conception to deliveryDeliver strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with established goalsAssist in developing strategic plans for your cross-functional team, aligning with overall business objectivesContinue to keep the lights on (day-to-day administration),
What skills and experience you bring
5+ years experience in a DevOps/Platform role in Cloud-Based production environments with strict SLAsStrong experience in all key cloud services: EC2, S3, EKS, ECS, RDS, VPC, R53 and their equivalent counterparts in either Azure or GCP.Strong experience with utilizing established tools for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform preferred)Configuration Management (Ansible preferred)Observability and Alerting (Datagod preferred), Alerting (PD or OG)Provable experience in managing CI/CD pipelines with two or more of: Github Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, TravisCIExperience in Linux system administration, with proficiency in both Python and BashStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issuesSolid communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mentalityExperience providing feedback to leadership on strategic initiativesABOUT KODDI
