The Strategy team ideates and delivers non-linear growth ideas that will shape the Greater China cloud landscape for decades to come. The Greater China Region’s (GCR) cloud computing marketplace is one of the world’s most dynamic and competitive, representing an incredible breadth of challenges accompanied by an equal number of opportunities to Learn and Be Curious, Think Big, and Deliver Results on a scale – and with products and projects – not feasible in other marketplaces.
As a result, the AWS GCR Strategy team is looking for a highly-motivated and experienced Go-to-market (GTM) Strategy Manager, to work closely with GCR leadership team, to: 1) frame go-to-market strategy and drive cross-function alignment to improve organization efficiency and operation excellence; 2) understand external market dynamics and identify emerging trends that could drive explosive growth; and 3) land strategic initiatives.

Key job responsibilities
The Sr. PM, Strategic Initiatives, will work with Market Intelligence and Business Planning to own conception and prioritization of non-linear growth initiatives for the Greater China market (e.g. regionless architecture, hybrid compute, and remote management), while facilitating go/no-go decisions from the leadership team. This requires highly accurate and detailed narratives with business cases that articulate China-specific issues and opportunities. The Sr. PM will oversee implementation of the initiative, and build a task force aligned across all necessary teams and stakeholders. As part of the execution of the aforementioned strategic initiatives, the Sr. PM will implement processes to monitor, adjust, and iterate as needed.
