The Principal TPM will be responsible for the execution of critical programs within the Conversational Assistant Services team of Alexa.
CAS’s vision is to drive cutting-edge innovation in AI systems and models to deliver transformative and indispensable assistant experiences for customers across all languages, modalities, and devices. We develop advanced multi-modal large language models and AI systems that transform the Alexa experience for customers. The systems we build deliver highly personalized customer conversations, while autonomous agents built on our proactive platform carry out customer needs just as a human concierge would. We build LLM optimization systems that help partners with rapid application development.
The Principal TPM will orchestrate across hundreds of teams within Alexa, Devices and AGI organization to define workstreams, identify dependencies and gather commitments across teams to help deliver the most critical projects for the org. This is a TPM of TPMs role, where the interaction isn't with a single technical team, instead they will deliver results across 4 L8 teams, and in partnership with several partner teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and deliver critical programs across multiple teams within CAS, AGI, Alexa and other internal customer teams. Setting milestones that help achieve the program target dates.
- Standup mechanisms to track and communicate progress towards delivery dates.
- Effectively communicate with all levels of leadership, they should be able to represent complex decisions, trade-offs and solutions in various forums.
- Identify and resolve roadblocks and conflicts that originate during program execution. Partner with PMs, Science and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Build relationships and manage by influence in a matrix organization to solve complex AI problems with tight timelines
- Define and execute Program Management best practices across the different CAS science and engineering teams to help raise the bar on the execution of our team.
- Manage a queue of customer facing issues and feature requests to improve the new functionalities of Alexa.

Drive alignment on execution plans that span multiple internal and external teams. Prepare and present schedule, risks and roadmap status. Drive clarity on ongoing roadblocks and misalignments and collaborate with the cross functional teams on mitigations.
