AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: As a Principle Performance Attainment Lead in our Graphics organization, you'll lead the technical performance attainment work on AMD’s graphics products. You will define product performance targets and lead technical teams to achieve those targets across the full product development lifecycle. THE PERSON: Passionate about performance and optimization, loves the challenge of unsolved problems, precise and able communicator, effective influencer, and expert at low-level graphics workload performance. Experience advocating for technical solutions in a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish competitive performance targets for new products using simulators, emulators, silicon and expert judgement. Understand graphics workload trends and use this knowledge to prioritize the performance engineering work across multiple technical teams. Work with multiple teams of engineers and drive analysis and optimization of key workloads during pre- and post-silicon development. Identify opportunities for improvements in engineering efficiency and lead the development of new methods that enable more accurate and efficient performance attainment work. Identify competitive performance gaps and drive solutions by working with architects and engineers across all domains of the product including hardware, software, and firmware. Use your graphics workload expertise to identify strategic domains of focus that will lead to competitive performance advantages for AMD’s graphics products and work across engineering domains to drive these solutions into products. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Relevant experience in GPU 3D performance analysis and architect Experience in 3D frameworks and algorithm Knowledge of CPU and GPU architecture, and experience in GPU programming technologies ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Undergrad degree required. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
