What you can expect daily as a Product Manager
Meeting with key product/business stakeholders
Interviewing customers, Welocalize team members, and partners about their current challenges or job to be done
Managing a backlog of requests and ensuring requirements are clear and aligned to the defined successful outcome
Conducting demos and training of key features and Welocalize products
Creating and supporting the product release plans

The Product Manager is a cross-functional position that requires taking ownership and responsibility of a product and all issues and considerations related to it. As a Product Manager, you’ll be the bridge between product stakeholders and the development team, taking the business requirements and defining the product requirements. Success depends on your ability to have deep knowledge of our customer's journey, the Welocalize business, and the impact of data.

A Product Manager is responsible for establishing a formal plan for serving the stakeholder community. Finesse is required; we must minimize the demands we make on stakeholders while gaining a solid understanding of their roles, perspectives, and needs. This role requires comprehending the organization, market, services, and the teams that deliver them, and translating that understanding into a product vision and roadmap. A Product Manager must maintain consensus around the product vision and champion it throughout the organization.

A Product Manager does not have direct management authority over the development team; however, to be effective in translating vision to reality you must lead through influence. By translating the complex business requirements into clear product requirements, building realistic plans that can be implemented, and delivering solutions that are adopted by users, a Product Manager will gain the confidence and trust of developers.

As a Product Manager, you must be endlessly positive, share credit, be fearless, and help set the tone for our culture. An effective Product Manager channels multiple viewpoints to understand the business outcome needed.  By synthesizing the perspectives of all parties into a clear vision, the Product Manager makes a critical contribution to the success of the product. 

Responsibilities :
- Work with stakeholders to identify and validate product features and capabilities
- Understands customer business requirements and communicates how our products and services meet those requirements
- Identifies and documents internal user and process requirements and related solutions through a complete production cycle
- Develop and execute a formal plan to regularly engage with stakeholders to ensure all product needs are captured
- Maintain and champion a product vision, product strategy, and product roadmap in support of company goals
- Create and maintain relationships with key partners and internal teams
- Identify the Job to be done and the outcome; not just feature-specific
- Define Requirements: the ability to facilitate the discovery of complex and varied business requirements
- Ensure that requirements slated for development are internally consistent, well-described, and are granular enough to be implemented by developers
- Build wireframes to illustrate the UI associated with features
- Work with UX and UI designers to ensure that software is clean, simple, usable, and consistent
- Collaborate with the development team by involving them in the development of the product vision, sharing credit for success, thinking through the nuances before presenting requirements, and creating schedules through consensus
- During development, ensure that the goal of each feature is understood by the team, and that the implementation meets the spirit of the requirement, not just the letter
- Demonstrates technology-based products and services for customers and Sales.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence, open communication, courage, and respect

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent working experience.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Localization/globalization services and/or software product management.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior executives, stakeholders, and users to define and manage the scope, strategy, and requirements for a product.
- Enjoys researching and strategic thinking, as well as planning and execution.
- Quantitative skills demonstrated by seeking out, understanding, and diving into data, research, and others' thoughts and ideas to support data-driven decision-making.
- A well-rounded communicator, collaborator, and presenter who loves to share findings and insights.
- Always a team player and a leader - when it comes to the team, developers, and other stakeholders, they want to believe in our product and that starts with you.
- Experience with growing, fast-paced corporate environments.
- Highly collaborative personality; takes initiative; solutions focused.
- Strong practical knowledge of MS Office, and Atlassian (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).
- Understanding of Lean and Agile Methodologies.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 
Job may be performed on-site at a customer facility or data center, or in an office environment sitting at a desk or computer table.  
Duties require the ability to travel occasionally and may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends). 
Duties require extensive periods of time working at a computer workstation.
