Perplexity is looking for a QA tester to join our small team revolutionizing the way people search and interact with the internet. You will be trusted to improve the quality of the product by communicating issues to the product team.
You will working closely with product management, design, and engineering on the product team. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and writing skills, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze the existing product as well as new features.
- Work with product management to set up proper QA testing processes.
- Detect bugs and UI issues on a variety of devices, browsers, and operating systems.
- Detect performance problems by benchmarking against similar products.
- Work with support to understand and reproduce common user issues.
- Work with engineering to develop tools for automated testing.
- Beta test new features and builds.
Qualifications
- Eye for detail.
- Organization and communication skills.
- Understanding of AI products, including prompting.
- Ability to learn new software tools.
- Understanding of user needs and situations.
- 4+ years of industry experience.
Our cash compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity is part of the total compensation package.
