Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are looking for a Production Manager to start and run our manufacturing operations for scaling our robot fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Build, train and lead Figure’s founding production team, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure the achievement of production goals and targets.
- Take ownership of day-to-day operations and accountability for production metrics. Be the point of contact for escalating issues, providing regular updates on production performance and identifying risks.
- Develop onboarding and ongoing training documentation for new hires. Train and mentor team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Promote a culture of safety, including proper use of personal protective equipment and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
- Identify and implement management systems to facilitate day to day operations such as attendance tracking
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience leading a production team in a high volume manufacturing environment
- Strong hands on experience with lean manufacturing principles
- Expert knowledge in use of manufacturing metrics, such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), to identify bottlenecks and continuous improvement opportunities
- Excellent communication skills especially using data
- Able to work well under pressure while managing competing, time-sensitive demands
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with high tech manufacturing tools and automation
- Familiarity using Manufacturing Execution Systems to facilitate build and ensure quality
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $130,000 - $200,000 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
