Reporting to the Manager of Global Supply Planning, you will play a pivotal role in high-level planning and oversight of the entire production schedule. A Production Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining the master production schedule, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring that production goals align with business objectives. This role is onsite, based out of Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule to ensure alignment with demand forecasts, inventory targets, and production capabilities.
  • Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, manufacturing, and procurement, to ensure smooth execution of the production plan.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address any delays, changes in demand, or other disruptions.
  • Utilize SAP S4/Hana (or similar ERP systems) to manage scheduling, track inventory levels, and generate reports.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize material flow and minimize production lead times.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to communicate schedule updates, potential issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential risks and ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Assist with maturing and developing processes related to order fulfillment and production planning

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in production planning and scheduling (preferably within the semiconductor or electronics industry.)
  • Proficiency in using SAP S4/Hana or similar ERP systems for production planning and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address scheduling conflicts and production issues.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in scheduling tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and addressing potential scheduling challenges.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing business needs and priorities
