AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: In this senior leadership role, you will be the overall program leader for Data Centre Hardware Graphics Systems Design programs. The scope of work will be architecting, designing, and deploying into mass production platform HW and FW solutions into the AI, HPC, and ML market segments. THE PERSON: The successful candidate will have the passion with proven 15-20 years’ experience in mixed high-tech companies from start-up to large enterprise tech companies to Execute complex analysis and communicate concise summary findings and decisive action recommendations to senior management. Be results-driven. You exhibit excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, applying innovation and a strong sense of urgency. Build strong partnerships with internal program stakeholders. Proactively manage risks, identify any barriers to successful program execution, and escalate and facilitate resolution planning. Be bold to advocate your strategy infront of senior leadership team. Have proven career experience to be Collaborative, Empowering, and Visionary KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Data Centre HW Systems Design Program Manager is a hands-on and dynamic role which encompasses all areas of Systems Solution Development for AMD's Data Center business unit. The role requires proactive and frequent engagement with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering teams are enabled for successful planning, design, development and deployment of DC Systems Solutions. Develop and concisely present program status and issue escalation to executive senior leadership and stakeholders levels You are required to have demonstrated proven capability leading concurrent programs in a metric driven environment and must have capability to: Unify cross business unit product requirements into a cohesive and achievable engineering delivery plan. Scope technical feasibility of new Products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with HW Architects, Technical Leads and Engineers Develop program schedule by considering various HW/FW dependencies; negotiate and create a staffing plan that supports the schedule You will establish formal program management artifacts including a plan of record, statements of work, project/program timelines, budget, scope, performance, and quality KPIs  Plan for risks in the development path, identify prevention methods, and address them to save on engineering costs Be comfortable working with senior executives. This is a hard requirement. You must address the needs and requirements called upon from AMD's Engineering, Product Management and Customer Engineering organizations Manage and align design deliverables into corporate phase gate review process. Coordinate Asia 3rd parties & contract manufacturers to align material supply and prototype deliveries in line with committed schedules and engineering acceptance criteria. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience within AI/HPC Systems level design deployment. Knowledge of the graphics market and related industries. Proven experience in rapid data centre systems hardware product prototyping and high mix, fast turn, product development from design to mass production. Experience in interacting with and directing international teams in a technology environment. Good understanding of requirements and documentation management Ability to grasp concepts during discussions and turn minutes into action items Able to communicate concepts and processes with stakeholders Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented and results-oriented Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with multiple people and teams, ability to communicate progress to team members on a regular basis Engineering background preferred Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence and Excel is an asset Experience with Agile methodology Ability to travel in both North America and Asia (up to 10%) ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 10+ years of experience in technology product delivery (preferably Data Centre Systems segment based) 7+ years as a Program Manager in a technology environment Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; Masters/MBD a plus Formal Project Management education, PMP certified Additional education, certification or specialized learning related to above business segments would be advantageous LOCATION: Markham Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
