THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking a Program Manager - Advanced Graphics Technologies who will drive advanced graphics technology development for next-generation gaming platforms. Focused on research in ray tracing, neural graphics, and computational technologies, the position coordinates complex IP development projects across technical domains.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate is a dynamic technology professional with expertise in ray tracing, neural graphics, DX/Vulkan APIs, and GPU architectures. Passionate about emerging graphics innovations, you thrive in fast-paced environments and excel at driving technological advancements. Your exceptional communication skills and proven track record of success in the industry enable you to navigate ambiguity, manage cross-functional teams, and take ownership of key R&D initiatives in PC and console gaming.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, plan, and drive timely completion of IP development projects according to senior management guidance.
- Prepare and deliver project status updates and reviews to internal stakeholders.
- Function as a critical liaison between Advanced Graphics and other partners (such as Gaming ISV, Silicon Architecture, etc.) for successful project execution.
- Drive feature development tracking and completion via GitHub and/or Jira.
- Coordinate IP delivery with silicon architecture team to intercept key future ASIC products.
- Support IP code releases to GitHub or other repositories.
- Own resource tracking, hiring, and other operational duties within the team.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of Graphics/Compute APIs (DX/OpenGL/Vulkan/OpenCL etc.)
- Proficient in using Jira to manage and track project progress, organize tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Experienced with GitHub for version control, including branching, merging, and managing repositories to ensure efficient code collaboration and integration within development teams.
- Knowledge of GPU architecture is a plus.
- Strong understanding of program management principles such as stakeholder engagement, scope management, resource allocation/management, and cross functional collaboration.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Undergrad degree required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree with emphasis in Computer Science, Computer architecture, or Electrical Engineering with PMP certification is preferred
