About the role

OpenAI is looking for an experienced and visionary Program Manager to work across our GTM Team. This role is pivotal in orchestrating our strategy across various commercial functions—encompassing technical success, sales, support, revenue partnerships, growth, revenue operations, and developer experience. The Program Manager will ensure that our customers receive outstanding end-to-end experiences that drive adoption and success of OpenAI's AI technologies.

This position is based at our San Francisco headquarters.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute a cohesive program management strategy that integrates all aspects of the GTM functions, aligning with OpenAI’s broader objectives.

  • Align cross-functional teams including Sales, Technical Support, Revenue Partnerships, Growth, Revenue Operations, and Developer Relations to ensure a unified GTM approach.

  • Coordinate the delivery of projects across different GTM areas, ensuring they meet high-quality standards, deadlines, and budget constraints, while maximizing customer satisfaction.

  • Track GTM milestones, deliverables, and metrics, setting clear performance indicators and roadmaps for team and program success. 

  • Report on progress, obstacles, and achievements to senior management, maintaining transparency and fostering informed decision-making.

  • Make recommendations and drive action on how to better achieve our goals and strategy. 

  • Analyze feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to continuously enhance the GTM strategy and operations.

  • Act as a bridge between the GTM teams and cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Research) to ensure cohesive efforts and successful project outcomes.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Strong experience working with GTM, Product, and Engineering teams

  • Seasoned program management skill including a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Skilled in strategic planning, execution, and the ability to drive complex projects from concept to completion.

  • Excellent communicator, capable of conveying complex information clearly to a diverse audience and ensuring collaboration across cross-functional teams.

  • Customer-centric with a demonstrated ability to prioritize customer needs and optimize their experience across multiple touchpoints.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a capacity to handle pressures and challenges elegantly in a dynamic setting.
