About the Role
As a Program Manager, Recruiting Operations, you will take the helm in crafting a highly engaging experience for our team, candidates, and hiring partners. Your expertise will ensure a smooth, enriching, and effective recruiting experience, making a significant impact on how OpenAI attracts and engages talent.
We’re looking for people who are passionate about creating meaningful interactions throughout the recruitment journey, who can balance multiple priorities seamlessly, and who thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA, following a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. We offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this Role, You Will:
Lead Interviewer Training: Develop and manage a comprehensive training and certification program for interviewers, ensuring consistency and high standards in candidate assessments.
Drive Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance recruitment efficiency and candidate experience, streamlining workflows and leveraging technology.
Champion DE&I Initiatives: Partner with recruiting to develop and lead initiatives that improve diversity and inclusion at OpenAI, ensuring a more inclusive hiring process.
Optimize Onboarding Processes: Design and refine onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and effective transition for new hires, enhancing their early experience and integration.
Develop Recruitment Analytics: Establish systems for tracking recruitment metrics, creating insightful reports, and making data-driven recommendations to improve processes and outcomes.
Oversee Vendor Management: Manage relationships with recruitment technology vendors, ensuring effective tool usage, and optimizing vendor performance and contracts.
Ensure Compliance: Implement compliance programs and conduct regular audits to ensure recruiting processes adhere to legal and organizational standards.
Expand Global Recruitment: Manage projects aimed at expanding recruiting efforts into new regions, ensuring alignment with global practices and compliance with regional regulations.
Collaborate on Workforce Planning: Work with HR and business units to forecast recruitment needs, developing proactive hiring plans to meet the organization’s growth goals.
Manage Change in Recruitment Systems: Oversee changes in recruiting systems, ensuring smooth transitions, effective communication, and successful adoption of new processes and tools.
We’re Looking for a Blend of:
Extensive Experience: 7+ years of experience in recruiting operations with a focus on program management and process improvement, particularly in high-growth settings.
Strong Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives effectively, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
Excellent Communication Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging and informing diverse stakeholders.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze data and feedback to drive continuous improvements in recruitment processes and strategies.
Commitment to DE&I: A deep understanding and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to lead initiatives that promote these values in recruitment.
Change Management Expertise: Experience in managing change within recruitment systems and processes, including onboarding and compliance.
Technical Savvy: Familiarity with recruiting tools such as Ashby All-In-One and Notion is a plus.
