About this role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager – Retail to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of project management experience within an advertising agency or a related field, ideally with some exposure to managing retail-driven paid media campaigns for industries like automotive. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving, retail-focused environment. You will support the delivery of creative projects, adapt to retail promotional changes, and ensure quality and timeliness while building strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage advertising projects that require frequent updates to creative assets driven by retail promotions, changing incentive offers, and dealer-specific campaigns.
    Ensure accuracy and consistency across multi-channel deliverables, including digital, social, print, and video.
  • Create and maintain project timelines, tracking key milestones and deliverables for integrated campaigns (TVC, OLA, social, site, etc.).
  • Support resource allocation and risk management strategies, ensuring quick turnarounds required for retail projects are met.
  • Update status reports and Smartsheets with most recent project information
  • Work closely with creative, account, strategy, and media teams to ensure smooth project execution. Communicate deadlines and priorities effectively across teams.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients on assigned projects, providing regular updates and addressing day-to-day needs related to retail-driven campaigns.
  • Identify potential risks to project timelines or deliverables and escalate issues promptly, providing solutions to minimize impacts.
  • Assist in monitoring project budgets, ensuring expenses align with project goals and financial objectives.
  • Contribute to the refinement of project workflows and explore opportunities to integrate automation, AI tools, or templatization for greater efficiency.
  • Stay informed on retail and automotive trends, consumer behaviors, and emerging technologies to support innovative and competitive campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in an advertising agency or related environment.
  • Familiarity with retail-driven, fast-paced creative environments; experience in the automotive industry is preferred 
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns across digital, social, print, and video channels.
  • Strong understanding of project intake and closeout processes.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Monday.com, JIRA, Smartsheets or asset review platforms).
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to handling challenges.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and clients.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What We Offer

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range
$65,000$72,000 CAD
