We're looking for a QA Test Automation Engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges, values cross-functional collaboration, and understands the balance between crafting robust new features and perfecting the most minor details. What You'll Do
Own the core: Enhance and maintain LiveChat's core functionalities to ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience.Collaborate across teams: Work with product designers, backend engineers, and frontend engineers to deliver impactful features, following the Shape Up methodology.Test planning and risk assessment: Plan comprehensive test cases before releases, review them collaboratively with the team, and proactively guide the team in identifying potential issues and risks.Automate testing: Design and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright, focusing on integration and component tests.Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with front-end developers and stakeholders to ensure quality at every development lifecycle stage.Evaluate product usability: Provide constructive feedback on code and overall product quality and usability.,
What You Bring
Strong experience with Cypress or Playwright, particularly in writing integration and component tests.Commercial experience in software testing.Hands-on experience in Frontend development programming. Understanding of programming processes with the ability to navigate code to create and modify tests.Ability to analyze bug reports and reproduce issues.Capability of working in an environment where manual testing is still necessary while also being able to transition to and advocate for automation.Experience with GitHub Actions, with the ability to maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines.Proactive attitude, assertiveness, and communication to enable cross-functional work with stakeholders (API teams and front-end developers).Product-focused mindset that aligns technical solutions with the overall product vision and architecture.Effective communication to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.Self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative and ownership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Enjoys working with people and values good team vibes.
