We seek an exceptional and self-motivated Frontend (or Full-Stack) Software Engineer to join our core engineering team. The ideal teammate is an experienced professional looking to take complete ownership of the development of a new AI-based web app. Since you’ll be joining an early-stage startup at the ground level, you’ll need to be able to wear multiple hats and thrive while working in a dynamic environment. This is a remote role based in LATAM.

Responsibilities For the Role Include:

  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to provide feedback and new ideas on UX, design and the overall functionality. We want everyone on the team to obsess over customers and our product.
  • Leveraging latest technologies and best practices in the Reach / TypeScript tech stack to rapidly build a responsive, performant and user-friendly experience.
  • Working closely with a team of backend developers to design the supporting APIs (or contribute to their development directly).
  • Following agile processes with a focus on delivering production-ready testable code in small iterations.

  • Fluent in written and verbal English
  • Curious to learn and assimilate information quickly, enthusiastic to share and teach others.
  • Keenly analytical and obsessed about problem-solving.
  • An outstanding communicator with sound interpersonal skills.
  • Strongly interested in fast-moving AI technologies and continuous learning.
  • Able to work autonomously and resourcefully in a fast-paced startup environment.

    Must Haves For the Role Include:

  • 4+ years of work experience as a React engineer with primary focus on TypeScript.
  • Demos or screenshots of applications or features you have built from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of web app dev tools and supporting technologies (build and package managers, CSS, etc).
  • Experience building and deploying web apps that leverage best practices in backend communication, security, error handling and observability.

    Nice to Haves Include:

  • Full-stack experience using Python.
  • Experience building mobile apps in React Native.
  • Regular contributions to popular open source projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
