AMD together we advance_ Research Engineer (Internship) THE ROLE: Our group in AMD Research is working on novel algorithms, methodologies, and hardware structures for branch prediction in modern general-purpose CPUs. As an intern, you can immediately contribute to AMD's next generation of technology innovations in this field. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for Software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about Technology. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: In your role, you are involved in the development of novel components. You will develop, implement, and adapt algorithms for branch prediction, run experiments, and analyze and present the results. You will work with our in-house simulators and extend their functionality. Custom simulation frameworks may have to be developed as well. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: C/C++, Python, shell scripting and assembly. Software development and debugging. Computer architecture. Version control systems. Machine learning. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Enthusiastic engineers preferably studying on a graduate level for their MSc or PhD degrees in Machine Learning, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, and related disciplines.
