As a Senior Accounting Manager at KFAI, you will be responsible for the primary accounting, invoicing, bill payment/processing, payroll, and general financials. Your role will be essential in keeping our financial processes organized, accurate, and efficient.

Here's what you'll be doing

  • Preparing and issuing accurate client invoices, logging cash receipts, and managing the overall accounts receivable process within Xero.
  • Recording and paying all approved vendor invoices via ACH and Wire, credit card, and managing the accounts payable processes within Xero.
  • Ensuring all operating bank accounts are fully reconciled on a weekly basis. This will also include managing relationships with both the company’s operating and lending banks.
  • Managing all group budgets and the Divvy credit card system.
  • Ensuring that payroll is consistently run on time and accurately as well as that all benefits and 401k transactions are processed and accurately recorded in the accounts.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements) showing performance vs budget/PY from Xero, within 10 days of the month end and ensuring that all balances are fully reconciled monthly.
  • Working with and supporting the external CPA firm on finance, tax, and all information requests.
  • Managing the allocation and documentation process for capital transactions.
  • Coordinating the activities of the external accounting providers to include yearly audits, as needed, and financial reporting reviews, corrections, and approvals.

    Here's what we're looking for

  • You have years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience from working in, or with, boutique entrepreneurial professional services businesses.
  • You have in-depth knowledge and the ability to apply general accounting and financing principles and are very experienced in account payables, receivables, budgets, and expenditure control.
  • One of your strengths is a keen attention to detail, and you’re motivated by ensuring accuracy.
  • We use Xero, Divvy, Fathom, Moasis, and other tools like Microsoft Office and GSuite. It’s not required that you have experience with all of them, but it is required that you’re comfortable using tools like these.
  • You understand ASC 606 revenue compliance like the back of your hand.
  • CPA is preferred but not required.
