About the Role

Monks is hiring for a Senior Art Director. 

In this role, you will be leading the creative design for social advertising and assets for a prominent fintech brand. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling visual concepts for social platforms, ensuring that designs are both creative and aligned with the brand's global content strategy. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, balancing speed, style, and quality, producing a high volume of engaging assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Creative Leadership: Lead the development of design concepts, from style proposals, sketches, mockups, to final prototypes, for social ads and assets.
  • Idea Generation: Come up with fresh and exciting design ideas that can be executed month after month, ensuring variation without losing the visual appeal or creative integrity.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Copywriters, Designers, Animators and Strategists to conceptualize and execute content ideas that fit into the client’s global content calendar.
  • Client Alignment: Work for one of the world’s leading fintech brands to ensure ideas and designs are in line with client expectations and brand standards.
  • Execution & Quality Control: Oversee the execution of art direction, ensuring pixel-perfect designs and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the process.
  • Creative Solutions: Offer new angles, inspiration, best practices, and practical solutions to improve the creative output.
  • Brief Translation: Translating client and creative briefs into high-quality campaigns, ensuring that designs align with the brand’s vision and objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Creative Director and team to ensure processes and designs align with client objectives and expectations.


About You

The Essentials:

  • At least 7+ years of experience as a senior/lead art director, with a focus on digital advertising and assets.
  • Advanced skills in design software such as Photoshop, Figma (is a must!), and other relevant tools.
  • Proven ability to create high-quality social ads and digital assets for fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and global clients.
  • Experience with all stages of the design process, from conceptualization to final delivery and market adaptation.
  • Demonstrated ability to come up with innovative and strong design ideas, translating them into visually impactful designs.
  • Knowledge of design fundamentals, including typography, interaction design, storytelling, and flow.
  • Experience with templating and process optimizations to improve design workflows.
  • Confidence in selling designs to clients and stakeholders, including presenting creative work effectively.

Not a must, but a plus:

  • Experience with client presentations and managing client relationships directly.
  • Experience in optimizing and improving creative workflows for teams.
