Senior Content Operations Editor -18-month (fixed-term) contract , Amazon Experience Technology Central Services

Amazonian Experience & Technology (AET) is seeking a Senior Content Operations Editor to support the transformation of our employment content portfolio, enabling the delivery of a high-quality, comprehensive, and reusable core content portfolio that enables personalized products and seamless, AI-augmented employee experiences.
In this role, you will manage the lifecycle of consequential employee-facing short-and long-form content, from business-as-usual updates to strategic content transformation initiatives. You will respond to customer requests to create and update content in our content management system, aligning with process and policy changes within defined SLAs and delivery timelines. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will develop strategies and spearhead content migration from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency. You will act as the single threaded leader within the team responsible for strategy, process design, innovation, and adoption of at least one content lifecycle dimension. Leveraging your expertise, you will play a key role in transforming unstructured, long-form content into metadata-rich, reusable fragments, aligning with new content needs, channels, and audiences, including artificial intelligence applications.
The ideal candidate possesses exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and technical aptitude. Excellent judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders are essential. Key job responsibilities
• Content structure transformation: Responsible for tasks related to transforming segments of the content portfolio from single-use to a reusable “headless” content structure, chunking unstructured long-form content into structured components, and migration from multiple sources.
• Content Standards and Guidelines Development: Contributing to the development of team style guidelines and content standards, identifying optimization opportunities and proposing innovative solutions.
• Workflow management and content storage input: Identifying areas of potential improvement to content management workflows and systems, working closely with global team and product management on improvements and new, as well as proposing and testing workarounds for known system issues.
• Project management: Working with cross-organizational stakeholders, to publish content for complex features, including setting deadlines, assigning tasks, managing dependencies, escalating risks, and ensuring timely publication of materials.
• Metadata framework reuse: Surfacing new needs, adhering to and promoting the use of our content taxonomy, enabling discovery and reusability by ensuring all content is tagged and described appropriately.
• Content reuse: Identify opportunities to reuse content and reduce manual effort required to maintain duplicate information in multiple places.
• Global content updates: Responding to customer requests to create and update content in our content management system in line with process and policy changes within defined contact SLAs and delivery timelines.
• Content editing and proofreading: Reviewing and editing written content, such as articles, policies, assets, or content fragments for grammar and spelling, accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Quality control: Auditing existing content and analyze data to maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all content.
• Mentoring and advocacy: Mentoring and educating junior team members on content management best practices and industry trends, as well as cross-organizational stakeholders without formal training in structured content management.

Part of your time is spent working on large scale projects related to content migrations, re-structures, or AI driven optimization.
