at Amazon ⋅ US, CA, San Francisco
Do you love getting hands-on with software and sharing your enthusiasm for cloud computing and Generative AI (GenAI) with the wider tech community?
Come join the Developer Relations (DevRel) team at AWS! Our creative, experienced, and energetic organization is responsible for helping to drive the development and adoption of AWS services. In this role, you’ll combine your technical skills, passion, and creativity to generate grass-roots attention and support for AWS among key industry innovators and technologists in the GenAI space.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Developer Advocate in the DevRel organization, you will work to earn trust with developers through your technical leadership and expertise. This is a high-impact and senior role that's well-suited to someone with domain-specific technical experience who enjoys sharing what they have learned in order to help users solve their technical issues and overcome any challenges they face. You will have the ability to influence and educate customers at every stage of their experience.
You will produce technical content to help our customers learn about new features, and guide their plans for building solutions on top of AWS. You'll offer opinionated and timely guidance on how to make the most of the features and functions of AWS services. This content includes blog posts, technical presentations, workshops, code samples, and video content. You will work with the rest of the DevRel organization, Product Marketing, and the product teams building AWS GenAI services to create inspiring presentations and demo applications to help communicate complex ideas and scenarios internally and externally.
A day in the life
In this role, you will spend time to learn and experiment on your customers’ behalf. This experience will inform your influence on the product roadmap. You will identify gaps in our products and documentation, and have direct impact on addressing those gaps. You will work with marketers to identify areas to engage the community, amplify the materials and resources you create, and identify areas of improvement in our public content.
About the team
We believe that a community of users is the happiest and best served when their voices are heard, when they feel they can impact the direction and quality of the products they use. You will engage with developers to identify and anticipate user challenges. You will represent the voice of developers from within the GenAI service teams during the key phases of product development. Developer Advocates leverage their hands-on technical experience and data gathered from the community to influence the product roadmap. They will work alongside Product Managers and engineering teams to address developers' biggest challenges.
