About the role

We seek a highly motivated, technically talented individual with a proven flair for customer service to join our IT Team. The Information Technology team supports tools and services for the corporate employee base. As an IT Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for super-serving our customers, promoting and maintaining IT Service availability, and participating in projects geared toward service improvements.

A Day in the Life of our IT Engineer, Operations

You will support our local teams in-office as well as teams located in the US and around the world. In-office support includes prioritizing support requests from users of existing IT services and configuring and maintaining packstations and associated peripherals, workstations, servers, and cloud environments. Meeting with technical and non-technical staff to resolve IT Service issues. Keeping a keen eye out for process improvements, maintaining and/or generating automation scripts, and modifying access groups, permissions, and security accesses. You will also have the ability to collaborate with our other members across the globe, including Japan, France, Germany, India, Australia, and Moldova.

In the role of Senior IT Operation Technician, you will report to the Director, IT.

We are considering applicants for the location(s) of Coppell, Texas.

About You

You are driven, technically proficient, and love customer-facing interactions! You have a track record of handling multiple systems and effectively communicating with leadership and end users alike. You have the tenacity to keep systems functioning while building on your knowledge and improving the function and structure of the systems you support. Your work has a history of balancing priorities and enabling strategic decisions and scalability by leadership. If this sounds like you, we are looking to add you to our highly technical team!

Technology

  • Bachelors in a Technical field (CS, CIS, MIS etc), or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of proven Technical Support, Systems Administration or Engineering experience
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and utilization of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
  • General knowledge of Virtual Machines/Virtual Environments
  • Experience with a hosted or SaaS infrastructure and its configuration and maintenance
  • Google Workspace administration proficiency
  • Admin experience in at least two of the following services: Okta, JAMF, InTune, Atlassian Jira/Confluence
  • Experience with relational database management systems such as SQL Server, mySQL
  • Scripting knowledge in Powershell, Bash, & GAM
  • Experience with PCI-compliant systems
  • Experience with network infrastructure operational experience with routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi, and VPN
  • You have some experience with technical certifications in the domain of System Administration
  • You have some experience with AWS environments

People

  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish lvl 4+)
  • Strong customer service-centric skills with the ability to effectively connect with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Experience with writing concise user documentation and experience giving presentations on technical topics

Process

  • Experience with Incident Management, including triaging, prioritizing, and resolving issues promptly conforming to SLA guidelines
  • Experience with inventory management processes, procurement, preparation, distribution, tracking, and recovery
  • Sensitivity toward handling and exposure of personal data and intellectual property
  • Demonstrable ability to work independently as well as on a dynamic team
  • Identifying, analyzing, and documenting long-range requirements
