Senior Project Manager for Platforms

Senior PMs at Monks look after the continuous execution of multiple types of projects and complexities. In this bilingual position (EN/ES) position, you are responsible for managing the end-to-end projects life cycle while collaborating with a worldwide multidisciplinary team. You're expected to juggle multiple requests and understand the importance of deadlines and delivering according to service-levels and specs. You also ensure the delivery quality while helping solve any blockers that may arise during the project execution phase.

Senior PMs are proactive, committed, detail-oriented, and enjoy using their communicational skills to pursue business outcomes. Your well-rounded experience allows you to accurately scope, and set up new projects comfortably. You are also able to manage the different crafts you'll be involved with such as Creative, Copy, Design, UX, Development and/or QA.

Overall:

• As PM at MM you are the owner of a project. You need to be on top of things, and be on top of your team. Your responsibility is the delivering, on time, budget and with the highest quality. 
• Proactivity is a “must have” for this position. We need autonomous PMs to tackle new challenges with enthusiasm and eagerness to ask questions in order to learn something new every day. Be proactive and not reactive!
• You coordinate between project stakeholders and our internal teams to provide clients with a constant flow of high-end production work.

It’s mandatory to make use of all the toolkits provided by your team Director and Ops which includes: Jira / Confluence / Project Dashboard and Burn Rate Tracker. 

Communication:

• You’re a proficient communicator - able to provide clear updates on the development of projects and knowing how to describe issues and required actions to Monks, locally or in other offices or clients.
• You take the lead on the meetings and take clear minutes with next steps, deadlines and responsibilities.
• You have to deliver clear Instructions of deliverables and timings and you are open to suggestions from the team.
• Keep all project stakeholders informed and up-to-date with regular meetings and distribution of all performance reports, status changes, and other project documents.
• Present project status information in an easy-to-use and easy-to-access format to meet the team information needs.
• Encourage collaboration between team members, inspire trust through honest communication and continually encourage the team to maintain its focus.
• You have good leading relationships with the client or monks from other offices and make them grow by inspiring trust.
• A big part of your day-to-day is briefing team members on delivery objectives and keeping stakeholders informed on the progress of projects.

Planning & Processes:

• You know how to define priorities and it's clear when communicating them to the team.
• You feel comfortable to hustle internal resources to meet external deadlines no matter what.
• Your job is to constantly balance resources and workload: your planning and coordination are key for successfully delivering projects on time.
• You’ll also evaluate the good, the bad and the ugly of finished projects to improve our processes and work streams. Retrospectives are a must! 

Scope & Deliverables: 

• You’ll help to manage the process and completion of multiple projects simultaneously, managing the in- and output of our Design, Development and QA Monks.
• Understand specifically what the client needs and expect from the project, and use these expectations to define and manage the project's scope.
• You are responsible for getting all the information from the client/producer, understanding the client request, translating it to a brief document and communicating it clearly to the teams.
• You are responsible for running profitable projects so check the financial health, hours tracked, how the project is sold. 
• You are responsible for the resources planning & forecast as well as the budget/Hours spent on your projects, and track accordingly. 

Timings: 

• Prepare a specific timeline for the project and sequence of activities, and use this schedule to manage the overall project to ensure its timely completion
• When a project gets behind schedule, work with the team to find a solution rather than assign blame.
• You make sure deadlines are met with lethal precision, and flag the ones that aren’t attainable upfront.
• Track the burned hours and escalate to your lead whenever there is a risk upfront in order to organize wisely and deliver on time.
