THE ROLE:
Be a key part of the industries’ global SHIFT-LEFT initiative for AMD’s future cutting edge designs. It is a must that the candidate has one or more of the following areas of knowledge, such as GPU SOC architecture, Emulator Platforms, AI Engineering, AMBA(AXI/AHB/APB) bus, RISC-V, PCI-E/PCI bus, low power design, Firmware development, JTAG, etc.
THE PERSON:
The candidate is expected to exhibit good verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English, specialized knowledge plus broad technical knowledge that facilitates integrative thinking, driving execution of quality and timely result, capability to solve complex, novel and non-recurring problems and decision-making on critical technical areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand and realize modern discreet GPU overall boot/power up flows and key functions.
- Collaborate with team members and apply verification and emulation techniques to improve: pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation qualities in pre-silicon time, in order to shorten the GPU product’s “Time to Market”.
- Research, invent and enable more ways for our customers to accelerate their pre/post-silicon work using Emulation platform, and AI.
- Become a key customer interface and provide technical support and guidance to downstream, post-silicon and pre-silicon teams.
- Willing to learn, apply and expand on new technologies and SOC design methodologies.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding on Emulation model development and compile flows.
- Experience in AI Engineering.
- Understanding on SOC boot flows.
- Knowledge with Ruby, TCL, Perl, OVL, SVA, SV scripting languages.
- GPU or large SOC verification/validation experiences is a plus.
- RTL coding with Verilog/System Verilog and familiar with C/C++ programming.
- Use of Veloce/Zebu/Palladium Emulator.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
MSEE with minimum of 3 years, or BSEE with minimum of 5 years experiences in digital ASIC/SOC design verification/validation.
