AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Can you document and explain complex information clearly and concisely? Are you interested in being part of shaping the future of technical writing in an AI-enhanced workplace? AWS Technical Content Experience (TCX) is looking for a technical writer to join the Amazon Application Recovery Controller (ARC) team.
Amazon ARC supports customers in preparing for and completing quick, safe recovery from disruptive events for applications running on AWS. By deeply understanding customer needs and innovating to provide efficient, highly-reliable services, ARC helps to make sure that customer business applications continue to seamlessly serve clients, even during a disaster event. Amazon ARC is deeply committed to being a leader in the resilience space, and a key factor in meeting its goals is to provide outstanding documentation to support customers that use the service. Technical documentation plays a vital role in clearly describing ARC technologies and solutions so that customers quickly grasp concepts and capabilities in the service, and gain the confidence to get started.
Ideally, you thrive in a highly collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and are comfortable interacting with highly technical software and networking development teams. You have both a technical background and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation. You have the ability to dive deep with a willingness to learn what you don’t know. You have a strong interest in exploring emerging AI technologies to improve content development efficiency. You will be part of a customer-obsessed, dynamic team of talented, geographically distributed, highly technical professionals on a mission to help customers build solutions with AWS services.
Successful past delivery of developer-oriented technical documentation for a programming platform is required. You must have experience writing documentation for APIs, SDKs, components, and tools. Your documentation will be used both by technical and non-technical internal stakeholders and external 3rd parties who build and manage security deployments in the Amazon Web Services platform.
Join us on our journey to provide high-quality technical content to our customers!
