THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a ServiceNow Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and continuous improvement of our existing ServiceNow platform and applications (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, APM). The Senior ServiceNow Architect will work closely with internal teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement changes to the ServiceNow platform with a focus on process simplification, automation, leveraging AI, and minimizing technical debt.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with internal customers and teams to gather requirements and design solutions using the ServiceNow platform. These solutions may interface with other applications using Integration Hub or other technologies.
  • Identify and design solutions to simplify and/or automate new or existing business processes.
  • Implement and maintain security architecture that aligns with AMD security policies and standards.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow releases, new features, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and administrators and provide technical guidance and support.
  • Regularly assess the health and performance of the ServiceNow platform, identify bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and potential optimizations.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence to solve problems and create new solutions.
  • Support the configuration and management of ServiceNow Discovery to ensure accurate and efficient discovery of infrastructure and applications that are populated into the ServiceNow CMDB as well as integration of other systems into the CMDB, e.g. Jamf and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong experience in the ServiceNow platform across administration and development.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform and architecture.
  • Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) applications.
  • Experience with ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM framework.
  • Experience with ITOM Discovery and Event Management
  • Experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, GlideRecord, etc.).
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST APIs, web services, JDBC, and MID servers as well as Integration Hub.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery and Application Portfolio Management applications.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework and other testing tools such as those provided by Tricentis.
  • Experience working with distributed global teams.
  • Experience in an enterprise environment with multiple integration points.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent documentation, diagraming, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
  • Familiarity with Identity, Governance & Administration platforms such as SailPoint.
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Ability to analyze and estimate time required for technical solution design and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network protocols, and application architectures.
  • Preferred experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (GenAI, Prediction, etc.) to solve problems.

CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, or ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.  Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
