As part of global design team, we co-work with silicon design team to deliver great products, and it’s very exciting to see your products are introduced all over the world. THE PERSON: Self-motivated, initiative, team oriented, forward thinker; Excellent communication skills; Excellent English is required verbal and written; Strong leadership and presentation skill; KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: responsible for the electrical design, modeling, simulation and characterization of high-speed signal propagation and power delivery networks in AMD Client products Platform/package design analysis, SI/PI methodology development. Provide guideline, constraint rule for PCB routing Responsible for platform PCB design review and simulation to release a high-quality platform design Work closely with Platform design/power engineer to bring up AMD APU Work closely with Package/Silicon team for the product definition Drive innovation to optimize the designs Provide the technical guidance to customer support team Document the technical design files. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience with PCB, Package and IC level power delivery networks Experience in silicon packaging and PCB design for signal and power integrity. Be familiar with x86 system and PCB layout design process. Experience with high-speed digital signaling interfaces such as MEM, PCIE, USB, HDMI/DP Be familiar with PCB fabrication process and different PCB/copper material. Rich experience on IBIS/ touchstone model, capable of fine tune model with correlation of measurement result Deep understanding of s-parameter, transmission line Understand the SERDES bus, DFE/CTLE terms. Experience with frequency domain analysis, understanding the sources of jitter Expertise in electrical modeling EDA and AMS tools such as ADS, HFSS, SIwave, HSPICE Expertise in electromagnetic theory and circuit analysis Experience with programming in Python, C++, and Matlab is a plus Hands on experience with TDR, VNA, scope, LA equipment is a plus ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: MS or Ph.D. preferred 5-10 years experience in electrical design for signal and power integrity is preferred #LI-JG2 #LI-Hybrid Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
