AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: The product characterization team is looking for a highly motivated individual to help evaluate the performance of AMD Adaptive SoC products. As a senior member of the product characterization team, you will guide, develop and execute IP and system characterization suites and volume system-level testing to guarantee design margins, identify problem areas and ensure the performance and quality of complex hardened IP and subsystems such as the embedded processor subsystems, platform management features and coherent interconnects within Adaptive SoC products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Designing and developing functional tests for measuring hardened IP performance with respect to e.g. timing, frequency and voltage margins Driving characterization methodology to tackle evolving product characterization requirements Developing volume system test suites to identify problem areas and manufacturing test coverage gaps Developing system-level tests to evaluate SoC performance at the application level Implementing scripts and automation for pre- and post-silicon experimental lab setups Analyzing characterization data across operating conditions and volume to generate characterization reports and insights Working with cross-functional teams to correlate data, debug and resolve issues PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Logic design skills in VDHL or Verilog / SystemVerilog Knowledge of ARM-based processor systems, coherent AMBA interconnects and multi-core SoC architectures Skills in ATE and/or bench characterization suite development Good level of understanding of SoC NPI process and test methodology desirable Good understanding of EDA tools and FPGA internals Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Tcl or Perl Proficiency in C/C++, with ARM assembly, embedded Linux, RTOS and compilers desirable Solid understanding of statistical analysis Understanding of FuSa and previous experience from automotive SoC products, or hardware security features, are a plus ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: BS in EE, CS, ECE or related field; MS preferred LOCATION: Singapore #LI-JV1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
