AMD together we advance_ SMTS SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER Key Technical Skills: Well versed with concepts of Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) Hands-on in assembly level programming Thorough understanding of CPU/GPGPU architecture, especially of processor/shader subsystem and associated interfaces Strong programming skills in C++/C, and scripting skills in Perl/Python Knowledge in basic probability and randomization techniques Familiarity with SystemVerilog/Verilog, instruction traces is a plus Familiarity with compiler design techniques is a bonus Key Personal Traits: Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision, either as an individual or in team Passionate to work in computer/graphics architecture domain Excellent interpersonal skills, growth oriented and collaborative mindset Key Responsibilities: Understanding of architecture and micro-architecture changes of blocks in shader core and associated subsystems, and interfaces for new features Understanding of ISA-feature mapping for the new features to write sanity/unit tests Work with verification, modeling, and design engineers of shader subsystem to understand their requirements Work includes development of testbench stimulus generator infrastructure Add new constraints to the stimulus generator and verify them by writing sanity/unit tests Brainstorm and propose enhancements to the existing infrastructure for other applications ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering #LI-NS1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
