SMTS SOFTWARE AI/ML DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER 

THE ROLE: 

AMD is looking for an influential software engineer. You will be working with exciting cutting edge technology to build the Next Gen application baked with Intelligence and AI assitance for Software Delivery. This system will be the Software Delivery power house and will be offered as a platform to all software teams within AMD. You will work with an amazing team of engineers gaining valuable experience and exposure to fast paced world-class development team.

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership problem solving skills to drive sophisticated designs and issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Process stakeholder requirements and present system architecture, designs and solutions to wider technical panel
• Work with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future products
• Develop interconnected system to orchestrate and manage Software releases  
• Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts
• Supply information and have stake in building analytical and automation solutions
• Use AI/ML tools to optimize solutions and incorporate AI capabilities within the SW Delivery framework
• Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to algorithms and architecture. Apply them to current technology solutions 

• Debugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work 
• Develop technical relationships with peers and partners 
• Strong object-oriented programming background
• Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Experience in the development of Web Applications preferably with modern web frameworks such as Angular or React
• Experience with service oriented architecture including web services, messaging, REST and JSON, HTTP and TCP

• Experience using relational and non relational databases
• Experience in using AI/ML assisted technologies and apply to enhance existing solutions 
• Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs and design patterns
• Experience with Windows, Linux and/or Android operating system and cross platform development  
• Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills 

• Motivating leader with good interpersonal skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
