AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: We are seeking a seasoned SoC Design Lead with expertise or significant interest in driving SoC design/implementation, product roadmaps and product requirements. You are meticulous about Power, Performance and Area while driving schedule and managing cost. This senior role will stretch you as you lead SoC Design team in new directions, network with our world-class, patent-holding think-tank, and negotiate amongst design teams, marketing, and business unit executives. THE PERSON: As a member of the Strategic Silicon Solutions (S3) Business Unit within AMD, your execution will help bring to life customers Special requirements for designs to be used in a broad range of products, from tablets to gaming consoles to servers and more. As a member of the SCBU team, you will be working closely with architecture, IP design, SoC implementation team, Design Verification team and physical design team to achieve first pass silicon success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with architects to understand the product specification, clock structure, power management, interconnect and AMD chiplet based infrastructure. Help scoping new projects with the our business team, architecture team and customer. You will translate these knowledges to the SOC integration team for implementation details. Interface with the architecture team, power team, IP design team, SoC integration team, Design Verification and Physical design team to identify complex technical issues/risks and optimize the implementation efficiency and cost. Support the SoC Design and Integration team on project execution. You should be familiar with SoC level Clock and Reset, low power design, UPF, CDC/RDC/LINT, DFT, repeaters, top level integration of connectivity, system bus, peripherals and ARM. Scope and analyze new design opportunities. Actively work to improve SOC development process continuously. We are looking for someone who is technically hands on and a great leader. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Outstanding foundation in Systems & SoC architecture, with expertise in one or more of the following: CPU or GPU, Memory sub-system, Fabrics, CPU/GPU coherency, Multimedia, I/O subsystems, Clocks, Resets, Virtualization and Security Experience analyzing CPU, GPU or System-level Micro-Architectural features to identify performance bottlenecks within different workloads Demonstrated expertise in power management microarchitecture, low power design and power optimization, along with power impact at architecture, logic design, and circuit levels Excellent communication, management, and presentation skills Adept at collaboration among top-thinkers and senior architects with strong interpersonal skills to work across teams in different geographies ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline preferred #LI-IA1 #LI-Hybrid At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
