About the Role

Monks is seeking a Social Lead based in Madrid, with experience managing large-scale social media and creative projects. Our ideal candidate has superb communication and documentation skills, identifies gaps, develops processes, and is comfortable leading by example. Most importantly, they must have a passion for social media, a desire to continuously be up to speed on the latest trends (social, tech, culture, etc), and aspirations for greatness!

You are a social-media-savvy professional, with experience in social media asset management. You are a people person with a positive attitude and the ability to organise and influence people within & outside the organisation.

This position will be part of a dedicated team for our largest client accounts (client facing experience is a must!), working side by side with our social media hub stremlining all our social efforts and leading the Nordics and Benelux region.

 

Responsibilities:

• Successfully drive all social media channels of our automotive partner while increasing their value. From content and channel strategy to campaign execution, and any other type of digital project that might be thrown your way.

• Build and sustain relationships with market client, while ensuring that client relationships at all levels are fostered within the team.

• Ensure the highest-quality work is provided in a timely, cost-effective manner, with a focus on effective processes across the team. Responsible for guaranteeing that the final deliverables and outcomes are consistent with the brief timeline, client’s strategy, brand, and creative goals, as well as our own quality standards.

• You will be responsible for tracking, communicating, and negotiating timelines, budgets, assets, goals, and expectations with stakeholders, and various global teams across the organisation.

• Look beyond the day-to-day needs of current work, ensuring the long-term stability and growth of the relationship and revenue.

• Align and work collaboratively with the different stakeholders across TME and client in order to establish the best strategic approach to the project.

 

Financial Management

• Drive growth and investment decisions that ensure account revenue and profitability goals are met

• Work with the markets towards achieving the desired profitability on Social Media

• Detect and activate business opportunities

 

Relationship Management

• Effectively build trust and establish positive relationships with clients

• Collaborate with the Business lead, Program lead and Operations lead to identify problems and recommend solutions

 

Team Management & Supervision

• Mentor, manage, and grow a team of direct reports

• Manage performance reviews, coaching to maximise success, identify training needs for improved performance, setting goals for career development, and ensure actions are taken

• Provide education and training on best practices, social media principles, and industry at large

• Participate in the interview process for junior team members' roles

• Guide team in setting goals and project tasks and timelines, ensuring team members have challenging, level-appropriate projects and opportunities to learn new skills, contributing to overall team success.

 

About you

The Essentials:

• Native or high level of English.

• Your 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, social media management, digital marketing, or production have made you fabulous at dealing with stress and phenomenal at communicating with (stressed-out) clients and coworkers.

• Experience in the automative industry and Nordic culture would be a plus.

• Deep understanding of marketing principles and programs with an emphasis on social media and digital marketing across strategy, content creation and paid media.

• Ability to understand clients’ business challenges and develop strategies to address those needs.

• Capacity to build and sustain relationships with senior clients, becoming their trusted marketing partner.

• Understanding of traditional industries and opportunities for transformation.

• Strong ability to identify new opportunities within current client relationships and design strategies for expansion.

• Comfortable with working on different time zones across the globe.

• A comfort level with data, media and analytics.

• Leadership skills that mean others want to work with and for you.

• Outstanding communication skills that ensure our message is always clear and compelling to our client partners.
