Monks is hiring for a Social Media Manager.
Your primary responsibility will be a combination of an account manager and a community manager that will be dedicated to this key account, working together with a larger team to deliver kick-ass social work. The coolest part: this is a client making a large move to increase its role in Singaporean culture. Essentially, this project will be seen and noticed by everyone in the country in the next few years - it’s something to talk about for years to come.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for our clients when it comes to social media, directly addressing tasks around project management, community management; and liaising with team members other tasks, such as creative work and content production.
- Lead the team towards delivery of authentic always on work, trend jacking and identification for other social opportunities.
- Work closely with the Business Director that is responsible for other parts of the business - finding synergies and contributing to overall growth of this account.
- Channel operation: Oversee our clients’ social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and more). Posting, scheduling, and updating the client feeds as required, without glitches.
- Conversations management: keep the conversations going by replying to consumer posts that enhance brand consideration. You'll be at the forefront of acquiring and sharing detailed consumer insights with the team to inform broader marketing strategies.
- Content Planning: Your remit will include calendar planning for always on content, including newsworthy announcements, social trends and more, ensuring we apply learnings and evolve the feed.
About You
The Essentials:
- Experience: You have around 5+ years of proven experience in social media, PR, or communication. Exceptional candidates with less experience must present a compelling case for consideration. Mastery of social media platforms and their distinct communication styles is essential.
- Client Management: Experience with client management, handling conversations directly and giving an informed POV on action points is a must.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with leading social content management systems (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite) is required. You should be adept at crafting engaging, audience-winning captions in English, and understanding the impact of hashtags, and emojis on messaging.
- Organization & Structure: Demonstrated ability to keep social media efforts well-organized and structured, aiming for a coherent and compelling social media presence.
- Communication: Strong confidence and communication skills are a must for effective liaison with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Initiative: Eagerness to innovate and achieve excellence, spearheading world-class work through constant initiative.
- Impeccable written and spoken English.
