Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Software Optimization Engineer to enhance software performance and efficiency across various platforms. Key responsibilities include:
- ML Inference Engine Prototyping:
- Build and benchmark recent versions of C++ ML model runners with models of various sizes.
- Replace key routines with common library routines and benchmark.
- Implement multi-threading support at varying scales.
- Compile Dataset of Multithreading Examples:
- Collect and curate a dataset of C++ codebases with multithreading examples from GitHub.
- Prepare and validate the dataset for performance benchmarking.
- Sample Application Optimization:
- Update build configurations for popular sample applications from github.
- Optimize code for new processor architectures
- Multi-thread the codebase and explore additional parallelization methods.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong proficiency in C++ and multi-threaded programming.
- Understanding of mathematical operations and optimization techniques.
- Experience with build environments (e.g., CMake) and GPU programming (e.g., CUDA, OpenGL, ROCm), not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Education: Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Computer Engineering
Duration: 12 month contract.
