GoDaddy is empowering everyday entrepreneurs and innovators by enabling them to bring their ideas to life online. Our Authorization Team plays a pivotal role within GoDaddy’s Identity & Access Management (IAM) ecosystem. We build and maintain an internal Authorization Platform that provides relationship-based access control (ReBAC) to ensure our products are both secure and collaborative, enabling multi-user experiences across GoDaddy’s diverse product portfolio.
As a member of this small, dynamic, and distributed team spread across US Central and Pacific time zones, you’ll be integral in creating a secure, scalable, and high-performance Authorization Platform. By joining us, you’ll help shape the next phase of the Authorization Platform at GoDaddy, collaborating with onboarding, authentication, and service-to-service communication teams, and forging innovative solutions to security and access challenges.
What you'll get to do…
Design & Develop: Architect, implement, and enhance authorization features that expand the platform’s capabilities, performance, and scalability. You’ll actively contribute to the codebase using languages and frameworks like Java (Spring) and potentially Golang.
Data-Intensive Applications: Build and maintain high-volume, data-intensive solutions leveraging NoSQL databases.
Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with product teams, internal stakeholders, and the broader Identity ecosystem. You’ll integrate our platform with other GoDaddy products and services, applying modern identity standards (e.g., OAuth, OpenID) where applicable.
Quality & Reliability: Write clean, maintainable code, perform code reviews, and ensure that the Authorization Platform is secure, reliable, and easy to use for other internal teams.
Continuous Improvement: Take an active role in the entire development lifecycle, from design and coding to testing, deployment, and ongoing support. You’ll identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
Your experience should include…
-
2+ years software development experience in Java and / or Golang
- Demonstrated background working with large-scale platforms and high-volume data systems.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions.
- Strong written and oral communication abilities to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
You might also have…
- Identity Standards: Familiarity with OAuth, OpenID, or similar identity and access management technologies.
- Platform Tools: Experience building tools and frameworks for other engineering teams.
- Backend Technologies: Experience in Spring or similar Java frameworks, and exposure to Golang.
