MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
・Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree with an expected graduation through to the end of March 2027
※Must be in school until the end of internship program
・Must be available for a 3-month on-site internship in 2025
・Have no more than 24 months of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience)
・Overseas Students (Based outside of Japan) who require visa support must meet one of the following requirements:
・The internship program is part of your education and essential for your graduation
・This internship allows you to receive some credit(s) for your education program
・Have Bachelor degree at the time of application
WORKING CONDITIONS
・Start Date: June 1, 2025, August 1, 2025
・Internship Duration: 3 months
・Expected work hours: 5 days (40 hours/week), depending on visa and class scheduling, some flexibility for shorter hours may be available

TEAM
Arene's mission is to empower Toyota and its partners to deliver next-generation vehicles with hardware-agnostic software that can be updated to support new features at any time. The Arene Tools team provides a unified set of tools for creating, managing, and coordinating software projects specialized in-vehicle software. The Arene SPL speeds up development cycles and reduces the time application developers spend writing and maintaining software. Engineers on the SPL team develop and maintain tools and CI pipelines that support automation and visualization of the software lifecycle. Our team spans various disciplines, backgrounds, and knowledge, and includes and collaborates with experts in each area.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about delivering high-quality, maintainable software directly to users to enable the next generation of automotive software development. The right candidate will have a strong foundation in software engineering coupled with a desire to learn new technologies and meet new people.
You will report to the Team Lead for the SPL team, and this role's workplace type is onsite - you will work in the office 5 days per week.
