THE ROLE: In this high-profile role, as Senior Engineering Program Manager, you will lead a multi-national, multi-discipline engineering team responsible for key engineering initiatives from concept to execution for next generation AMD AI system solutions. THE PERSON: The right candidate will have solid knowledge of technical program management, an outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated hardware programs, from Concept through Customer Ship, utilizing large, matrixed teams to plan and execute system level products. This role requires a blend of strong leadership and technical acumen to effectively navigate the complexities of AI-driven projects. You are energized by working in a fast-paced technical organization and multi-site environment. You like to make a difference in the industry and are passionate about collaborating with business and engineering teams and our customers to find unique solutions to tough problems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The System Engineering Program Manager owns planning and driving the execution of system engineering functions to enable delivery of complex AI programs Engages with technical and business leadership teams to understand and document program scope, establish integrated schedules, assess and manage program progress, risks, mitigation, and manage resource & budget plans. Manage end to end system design execution. Leads and reports on program progress, risks, and issues to ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives. Represents the Instinct Systems Engineering organization in corporate planning and execution forums, including presentations to Senior VP’s and executive staff. Supports the customer-facing engineering and business teams to set product maturity and schedule expectations, oversee the development and distribution of documented product collateral, and resolve issues. Develops and shares best-in-class processes to streamline and grow the organization to meet new challenges Monitor and report on program progress, risks, and issues to ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Has driven product development with hardware platforms and related software ecosystem. Strong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, etc. Demonstrated success in leading and delivering large-scale, cross-functional programs on time and within budget. Experience with hardware development, from foundry & OSAT to platform level architecture, design and execution in a fast-paced environment. Ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and to lead and manage technical teams Problem solving capability with confidence to evaluate risks and tradeoffs and present solution options to executive leadership Ability to influence horizontally across multiple internal functional organizations Skilled in interfacing with customers, partners and in managing joint-development projects Ability to understand and extract action plans from complex technical discussions and translate into crisp messaging tailored for varied targeted audiences Ability to nimbly address business and technical changes throughout the program lifecycle both from an internal and customer perspective Familiarity with budgeting, resource allocation, and long-range planning Excellent written and verbal communication and executive level presentation skills Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented and results-oriented Seasoned in leveraging MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams or Confluence for clear communications and coordination of work. Familiarity with JAMA, JIRA and similar Systems Engineering requirements management and defect tracking tools. Experience with Agile software and project development methodologies preferred Proactive with demonstrated creative, situational and critical thinking problem solving. Ability to network quickly and independently to align resources towards a common goal. Ability to support limited domestic travel >8 Years Program Management Experience, >5 years of people management experience and >15 years overall relevant experience in Semiconductor Industry - specifically New Product Development or Introduction ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred) Masters in Business Administration or PMI PMP® Certification is a plus. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
