THE ROLE:
Great opportunity for a Software Development Manager career professional to join an elite team to develop ongoing solutions in the Artificial Intelligent Group (AIG) of AMD semiconductor. AMD’s new AI Engine is integrated in various FPGA and CPUs, delivers the most cutting edge and cost-effective AI Inferencing solution and is getting widely deployed on laptops and in Data Center, Wireless/5G, Automotive/ADAS applications.
THE PERSON:
AMD is seeking an experienced DevOps professional with strong software development and management experience to join the DevOps Infrastructure team that supports global AMD software engineering efforts across different geographical locations. The DevOps Infrastructure team's primary objective is to provide a highly productive, best-in-class development environment that supports the engineering activities of employees across multiple sites worldwide. This role will be responsible for providing technical guidance and direction for scalable infrastructure demands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build CI/CD and software automation infrastructure for supporting high volume regression for AI products.
- Build Full stack application to manage and configure board farm consisting of 300+ motherboards and servers.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance and direction for scalable infrastructure demands.
- Collaborate across organizational boundaries and multiple geographies.
- Plan, manage, troubleshoot, and deploy client/server-based applications.
- Automate workflow using Python, Jenkins, GIT, BASH, Ansible, and third-party API's
- Building micro services based containerized applications
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Hands on experience in a large-scale software development environment
- Expertise collaborating across organizational boundaries and multiple geographies.
- Proven 8 to 10 year’s work experience collaborating with members of the Engineering community to resolve issues that impact productivity.
- Details understanding of semiconductor device, device drivers and AI-ML
- Demonstrate proficiency in building, creating, and debugging containerized applications.
- Experience in planning, managing, and troubleshooting deployments of client/server-based applications with complex server-side backends that include files, databases, and indexes.
- Automate workflow with tools and languages such as Python, Jenkins, GIT, BASH, Ansible, and third-party API's
- Experience with Linux and Windows administration in a software development environment
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
