Overview
As a Senior Marketing Data Specialist, you will play a key role in our marketing initiatives, taking a data-centric approaches to influence Esri’s market position. Leverage your strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of marketing data and performance to contribute to successful marketing campaigns across various mediums.
This team combines elements of analytics, strategic thinking, and creativity. You will have the opportunity to leverage data insights to shape marketing campaigns that share the power of Esri’s technology with our customers. Through collaborative partnerships, they will steer data strategy, segmentation, and enrichment initiatives with insights derived from data-driven approaches.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and Collaborate. Partner with Market Intelligence teams to identify and assess existing market opportunities using data-driven methodologies. Implement data governance best practices to maintain data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and align with the data integrations team to include various sources. Generate clear and concise reports detailing key insights and performance metrics. Present findings to stakeholders and leadership to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Drive Results. Identify customer segments based on intent, engagement, and other relevant factors by using data analysis techniques. Build reusable foundational segments that will define markets and roles that will be used for marketing campaigns. Execute enrichment opportunities for enhancing or broadening key markets, industries, or roles.
- Focus on Customer Success. Work with colleagues across the marketing organization to understand campaign requirements and align on goals and objectives, leading audience and segmentation strategy.
- Create an Impact. Conduct comprehensive data analysis to understand market trends, customer behaviors, to enable strategic decision-making. Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make recommendations for optimization.
- Develop your Expertise. Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, storage, and analysis processes. Present recommendations for enhancement to leadership.
- Share learnings. Transfer knowledge and skills into practice by mentoring others.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, data science, statistics, business analytics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience building segmentations in a marketing automation platform such as Pardot, Marketo, or similar
- 2+ years of experience with statistical analysis tools and data visualization software
- Advanced experience developing SQL queries
- Advanced knowledge with Adobe Experience Cloud (AAM, AA), Power BI
- Advanced Excel skills including formula, VBA, and Macros
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
