At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.
The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon’s scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.
Amazon co-founded The Climate Pledge, our commitment to reach net-zero carbon across our global operations by 2040. As part of the Worldwide Environment team, Amazon's Worldwide Carbon team is dedicated to working across the company with our business units to make operational changes to accelerate solutions and decarbonize our businesses in service of The Climate Pledge.
This role will lead our analysis of supplier performance on key carbon reduction metrics, helping ensure suppliers align with our company's goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2040. This position will analyze and validate complex supplier emissions data to assess carbon reduction performance and conduct detailed carbon assessments of our top suppliers to analyze emissions data, decarbonization commitments and progress against those commitments. This role will also integrate assessment findings into procurement processes and carbon planning tools. This role will closely collaborate with business intelligence teams to incorporate supplier carbon assessments into business planning strategies.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills, experience implementing large-scale analytical frameworks for use in supplier or vendor selection, proven ability to make data-driven decisions, and excellence in problem-solving, especially with incomplete or ambiguous data. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should be a self-starter with high standards for data quality and validation.
