The Hardware Compliance team at AWS Apps is looking for EMC and RF regulatory compliance engineer to support our line of products.
Key job responsibilities
Establishing and maintaining best design practices guidelines to mitigate EMC, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC compliance issues early in the design phase
Provide design, test, and test software requirements.
Approve mechanical and electrical design reviews to ensure EMC mitigations are properly implemented in the design
Run EMC pre-compliance testing during product development.
Work with third party regulatory labs for final certification testing.
File official paperwork and final approval from the proper government, regulatory or notified bodies.
Root cause determination and corrective design action for any failures.
Stay current on any changes to global agency approvals and testing procedures
A day in the life
As an EMC/RF Compliance Engineer, you will be an integral part of product development. You will work closely with design teams throughout the product life cycle. You will specify EMC and radio technology requirements, lead design reviews, run compliance testing, and apply for certification with notified bodies. You will work with operations, procurement and legal as necessary. You must be highly analytical, able to work effectively across multiple teams and have a strong understanding of the regulatory compliance schemes.
