AMD together we advance_ SENIOR SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER THE ROLE: The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute the verification of new and existing features for AMD’s graphics processor IP, resulting in no bugs in the final design. THE PERSON: You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, build, test, monitor, manage and maintain toolchains for critical function Own and drive improvements to build, simulation, release scripts, tools, and processes Automate technologies to improve the velocity and quality of engineering effort PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of one or more scripting languages including shell, Perl, Python, Groovy, Java and/or Ruby. Knowledge of web development (CGI). Background in object-oriented programming. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to do a quick ramp-up on large and very large projects. Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions to problems in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Expertise in Database administration and SQL. Experience with ASIC standard verification tools, languages, and flows is a plus. Knowledge of Continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins and version control system such as Git and/or perforce is required. Very good understanding of the Unix system (RedHat).
