Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Silicon Design Engineers to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Perform definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development. Work as a member of a cross geographic pre-silicon verification team to verify a next generation AI engine. Work with design, architecture team to verify micro-architecture and design across multiple platforms. Plan development, test bench implementation, test case creation and coverage closure. Responsible for regression, verification infrastructure development. Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various company products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in job offered or closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

  1. Hardware verification;
  2. CAD tools;
  3. SOC or system architecture;
  4. RTL Design and coding;
  5. Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL;
  6. ASIC Design;
  7. Design flows and methodologies used for chip verification;
  8. Front-End EDA tools;
  9. Unix or Linux environments; and
  10. Python, C, C++, Perl, TCL, or Shell.
