Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering team creates compute server designs for Amazon’s web services. Within the Hardware Engineering team we design and operated the Accelerated platforms used for AI, ML and other specialized workloads. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. Key job responsibilities
As a member of the Server Hardware Engineering team you will will be responsible for leading multiple simultaneous hardware product development programs and operational reviews in a highly cross-functional environment which includes internal customers, external vendors and technology partners. You will work closely with your customers to understand their short and long term business goals and product needs. You will be responsible for the delivery of platforms through driving and coordinating the efforts of an interdisciplinary team across hardware design, component development, firmware, test, and qualification, along with external suppliers and design partners to develop, deploy at scale, and provide ongoing operational support for the servers you deliver. This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position with significant impact on the future of the cloud. You will have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve your products’ performance, quality, and cost. You will be responsible for both delivering products to the roadmap, as well as continuously raising the bar on how we develop and support your products. We’re changing an industry, and we want individuals who are ready for this challenge and want to reach beyond what is possible today.

The Accelerated server development team within AWS Hardware Engineering is responsible for delivering hardware as a service to our internal customers. We own all aspects of design, from concept to design to launch and then throughout the entire life of the product.
