Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.Ā 

Figureā€™s vision is to deploy autonomous humanoids at a global scale. Ā Our team is looking for a Staff Data Visualization Engineer to build a visualization and analysis engine to accelerate Figureā€™s development.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and deploy industry leading interactive 3D visualization and analysis tools for all kinds of robotics data
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the data analysis processes for deployment of control, perception, and robot behaviors
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members to improve analysis tools
  • Design and implement scalable and well documented APIs and frameworks
  • Collect needs and feedback from the engineering, system integration, and product teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
  • Deep knowledge of Python
  • Good knowledge of software architecture
  • Deep experience developing performant data visualization software in a standard desktop or web GUI framework
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Robotics or autonomous systems experience
  • Experience managing IPC communications
  • Experience leading a team of developers
  • Proven record developing extensible visualization tools
