Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.
We are looking for an experienced PCB Layout Designer to help us design critical hardware for our Humanoid.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the PCB layout of new and existing designs
- Preparation and release of fabrication/assembly files
- Manage library and PCB processes (footprint/component creation, design release process, checklists, etc)
- Perform and manage vendor DFx reports
- Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical engineers
- Manage external PCB layout contractors
Requirements:
- 7+ years of industry experience
- Strong experience with Altium
- Strong experience designing for power converters (10W to >1kW), high speed designs (>8 GHz), and RF
- Strong experience with flex, rigid flex, and HDI designs
- Strong experience with DFx (high yield designs, designing for ICT/FCT, etc)
- Strong understanding of rule based designs (creepage/clearance, high speed rules, etc)
- Experience proposing and selecting material and stackups
- A good grasp of EE fundamentals
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with simulation software for power electronics/high speed design (i.e. ANSYS, Hyperlynx, Keysight, etc)
- Experience with high voltage applications (>60V) and compliance requirements
- Experience with exotic PCB technologies (3D mid, IMS, embedded coin/bus-bar, embedded passives, planar transformers, etc)
- Experience with PLM systems
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $150,000 - $240,000 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
