AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivated expert systems Administrator to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will have a strong technical background to contribute to all aspects of the system administration/management process. In this role, you will have full ownership of requirements delivery and drive projects to completion. THE PERSON: You're a highly motivated team player with a strong development background, problem solving mentality, excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks along with willingness to learn and adapt. Excellent teamwork skills and capable of working independently. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and support enterprise infrastructure at expert level and drive timely resolution   Facilitate stand-up meetings, reviews, estimation, sprint, release planning, demos, burndown tracking, and other Scrum related meetings   Interface between AMD and external partners to ensure SLA across partners are met   Independent and joint collaboration between multi-functional teams for development, testing, debugging and implement requirements for enterprise application   Excellent teamwork skills and capable of working independently   Particularly good communicator, able to engage and effectively respond to diverse partners   Able to proactively support team culture that fosters knowledge sharing, excellence, and collaboration   PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 10+ years’ experience as a System Administrator supporting highly available compute workloads Strong Knowledge and experience with Windows Servers Support Strong knowledge and experience in virtualization hypervisors KVM, Xen, ESX Strong knowledge and experience on virtualization platforms using VMware or open source hypervisors/Vmware (KVM, Xen, Ovirt, Openstack) supporting several thousand VMs. Good Experience in ESXi to KVM migration and execution for large VM environments Good experience coding and automation in Powershell & Python for OpenStack. Good experience with opensource orchestration Hands on typical Linux flavors such as RHEL, Centos, Ubuntu. Experience in configuration management/automation frameworks such as SCCM/Ansible/Puppet. Good Experience with automation with Microsoft tools and PowerShell Scripting Experience with traditional and modern IT processes, tools and solutions (change management is key) Strong scientific method and technical know-how to troubleshoot errors to resolution in the most efficient manner possible Superior written and oral communications Strong documentation and presentation skills Ability to work independently, as well as part of a global support team with minimal supervision.
