AMD together we advance_ The Role We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team at AMD, specifically to work on our open-source SHARK, IREE and related software platforms. SHARK provides a packaged product for using state-of-the-art ML models, to a variety of devices. As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that enables users, developers, and stakeholders to effectively leverage these cutting-edge technologies. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed technical documentation including user guides, API references, developer manuals, web development integration, and release notes for Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical content Content Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain existing documentation to reflect software updates, new features, and changes in specifications for SHARK/IREE projects Quality Assurance: Review documentation for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines. Conduct usability testing of documentation to ensure it meets user needs User Support: Provide timely and effective support to users and developers by addressing documentation-related queries and clarifying technical concepts Preferred Experience in following tools/flows Familiarity with MLIR, IREE, or LLVM Experience documenting software development kits (SDKs), compiler frameworks, or developer tools Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, accessible documentation Open-source development ethos Academic Credentials BS/MS (Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communication, or related discipline) Location: San Jose, CA, USA #LI-EM1 AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies or fee based recruitment services. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
