At Limitless, our vision is to free the human mind from its biological limitations. We are starting with memory. 90% of memories are forgotten after just a week. Not only that, but our memory gets worse as we get older. If there is a hearing aid for hearing and glasses for vision then why isn’t there the equivalent for memory? That question is why we started the company. We build software and hardware to capture what you see, say, and hear and make it useful.
The products we have today are just the first step toward our audacious vision.
We have raised over $33m from top-tier investors including Sam Altman, First Round Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and NEA to help make that vision a reality.
Why Limitless 👀The work you’ll do will have tremendous impact on not just our company, but on society as a whole. We believe the best version of the future is one in which we augment - not replace - human intelligence with artificial intelligence. This is the key to unlocking humanity’s full potential, and you will play a critical role in helping us get there. Join us.
What kind of prototyping engineer do we need 🚀We’re looking for a full-stack hacker—someone who is as comfortable soldering circuits as they are writing code. You’re a hardware tinkerer, software builder, and AI experimenter who can take an idea and turn it into reality.
You thrive in ambiguity and own your projects end-to-end. You can take off-the-shelf components, write custom firmware and software, design circuits, and 3D print enclosures—whatever it takes to get something working.
There are many types of engineers, so to clarify what we’re looking for, here’s how we see our ideal fit:
Tinkerer > Traditional Engineer
Prototyping > Production
Scrappy Startup > Big Company
End-to-End Builder > Specialized Expert
Hands-on > Theoretical
Ambiguous Problems > Well-Defined Tasks
Prototype the next generation of hardware at Limitless.
Hardware & Embedded Systems:
Experience with rapid hardware prototyping—you’ve built things fast before.
Comfortable working with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, STM32, and other MCUs.
Experience with Zephyr RTOS, FreeRTOS, or other real-time operating systems.
Ability to write firmware (C/C++), build simple circuits, and design basic PCBs.
Experience hacking together sensors, Bluetooth, microphones, cameras, and displays into functional systems.
Software & Applied AI:
Experience with Typescript, Python, or React, contributing to frontend/backend development.
You’ve tinkered with LLMs and built something cool.
Mindset & Approach:
You ship fast—you build scrappy but effective prototypes, iterate, and improve.
You’re curious—you learn new tools, hack things together, and make them work.
You’re self-sufficient—you don’t wait for clear instructions, you just start building.
